Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are essential – they make the site work and remember the cookie choice you've made. Others are optional – they help us understand how the site is used or measure how our ads perform. We only set the optional ones if you say yes.

How we use cookies – and your control

We ask your consent before setting any non-essential cookie. You can Accept or Reject with equal ease, and change or withdraw your choice at any time using the link (it's also in the footer of every page). Until you opt in, no analytics or advertising cookies are set – the site runs Google Consent Mode v2 with everything non-essential denied by default.

The categories we use

  • Necessary / functional – required for the site and your consent choice to work. Today that's a single record of your cookie decision, stored on your device (localStorage). Always on, because without it we couldn't remember that you said no.
  • Statistics / analytics – Google Analytics 4, consent-gated. Purpose: understand how the site is used, anonymously. These load only after you accept, and only on our live domain.
  • Marketing / advertising – Google Ads measurement, consent-gated, and only if enabled. Purpose: measure whether our advertising works. Never set before you opt in.

When the analytics and advertising tags go live, the individual cookies they set are Google's standard ones (for example the _ga family for Analytics); their purposes and lifetimes are documented in Google's cookie documentation.

Third-party services

Google (Analytics 4 and Google Ads) fires through Google Tag Manager and only on the relevant consent grant. No other third-party advertising service is enabled at launch – if that changes, this page changes with it.

Changing your choice

Use the link any time to change or withdraw consent. Your browser's own settings also let you block or delete cookies.
